No collection or tracking
The app does not collect personal data, require an account, or contain advertising, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated server. Choosing an interest does not tell us anything about you.
Learning progress
Your selected interests, saved words, lesson position, and practice history are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Your device backup settings may include this data in an Apple or computer backup. We do not receive those backups.
Microphone and speech
Microphone and speech permissions are requested only when you start microphone practice. Recognition is restricted to Apple’s on-device Mandarin recognition. If a supported local model is unavailable, use the self-check. The app does not save your microphone recordings or recognized transcripts or send them to a server. Model audio is synthesized on your device; temporary synthesized audio files are separate from microphone input.
Your choices
You can stop recording at any time and revoke microphone or speech permissions in iOS Settings. Progress exports are shared only through the action you choose in the share sheet. Importing a file creates a local backup before replacing progress. Deleting the app removes its local data; exported files and device backups must be managed separately.
Website and support
If you email support, we use your email address and message to answer your request and retain correspondence only as needed for support or legal recordkeeping. Ask us to delete support correspondence when appropriate. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data to deliver and protect the site. No advertising or analytics scripts are added to the website.

Research, dictionary, and licensing links open third-party websites. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them. No third-party advertising or analytics SDKs are bundled in the app.
